Calendar of captivity(July-August)

-23^rd of July, 1986; the arrival of the first group of prisoners at the Takrit 17 Nahravan camp.

-24^th of July, 1982; occurrence of clashes following remonstration against the beating of a wounded captive at the new camp Musel 2, Bloc A which culminated in the martyrdom of two captives named Mohammad Sury and Amir Bamirizadeh and also the injury of another 15 captives.

-=25^th of July,1982;  clashes in Musel  2 resulting  in the martyrdom of Mohammad Sury and Amir Bamirizadeh at that camp.

-3^rd of August, 1989; the brutal torture of captives in Takrit camp 11 for having taken part in the mourning ceremony for Imam Hossein which led to the martyrdom of Mohammad Rezayee & Aliakbar Ghasemy.

-4^th of August,1990; the sit-in of the captives at Takrit 12 in protest at the brutal behavior of Iraqi guards

-5^th of August, 1988; the failed escape attempt of a prisoner at Takrit 14, whose full name was Behrouz Salimi.

-6^th of August,1985; liberation of 29  wounded Iranian captives from the Iraqi Ba'athist regime camps.

-7^th of August,1989; transfer of Abu Torabi Fard to Takrit Camp 17.

-13^th of August,1990; sending Saddam`s last letter to Ayattollah Hashemy Rafsanjany concerning the liberation of captives.

-14^th of August,1990; announcement of Saddam`s letter to Iran`s president regarding the liberation  of captives.

-14^th of August, 1990;  violent clashes between the captives of Baghubeh camp 18 with Monafeghin and Iraqis and the martyrdom of Hossein Pirayandeh, the last martyr of captivity.

-15^th of August, 2012; the first meeting of the liberated captives with the Supreme Leader.

-16^th of August, 1990;  the liberation anniversary of the captives and their return to Iran.

-16^th of  August 1992:  meeting of LCs with the Supreme Leader.

-17tyh of August, 1990;   Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani , the president of Iran at the time, sent a letter in reply to Saddam`s letter.

-17^th of August, 2017; meeting of the LCs with the Supreme Leader.

-19^th of August,1990;  first meeting of the LCs with the Supreme Leader.

-20^th of August, 1995;  the president bestowed the second degree badge of self-sacrifice upon Mohammad Reza Shayegh.
